Five years and five days ago from today, I bought my very first DSLR camera.

I’ve been shooting for almost a year then with a Canon Powershot S3is, a prosumer digicam and I felt that I’ve already maximized its potential and wanted to move on to a more powerful camera. After much online research and asking around, I finally headed to Mang Ramon’s store in Hidalgo and haggled for a Nikon D80.

As of last count, my camera has a total shutter actuations of 80,910 and it already looks like it has been run under by a pack of wild dogs. But the important thing is it’s still working and performing as it should.

Belated happy birthday my D80! Don’t die on me just yet. :P
