Alright, a fly would probably the farthest thing on your mind when one mentions Baguio City’s (though technically not part of the city anymore) favorite haunt, the Strawberry Fields. But that, unfortunately, is what caught my attention as I waited for my companions to finish harvesting their strawberries.
I usually don’t do macros but there was a time when I was obsessed by everything small. So I bought myself a Raynox macro conversion filter a few years ago and stashed it somewhere inside my camera bag just for moments like these.
The filter is small, lightweight and super cheap in comparison to regular macro lenses. The major downside? The depth of field it produces is so thin, practically paper thin. It’s extremely hard to focus on your subject, especially if it is moving. I always consider my photos from this filter as lucky shots.
