Storm signals were raised, ferry rides were canceled and airports shut down. We were marooned in Dumaguete City.

The wind died down a bit but the sky was still painted in grey. The waves frothed angrily, slamming the banks of the sandy shore. We were expecting typhoon Pablo to come down hard on the city but it was still the calm before the storm.

Five minutes later, the wind rampaged and clinging to the earth with all their might, the trees howled westward. Typhoon Pablo has arrived at Dumaguete City.
