I can’t count the number of waterfalls I’ve visited in the Philippines through the years but Pulangbato in Valencia’s one of the most unique I’ve been to. The falls itself is typical but the rocks surrounding the basin and going downstream are tinted with heavy shades of reds.

Waterfalls have a love/hate relationship with me. I hate the fact that one has to go to great lengths to access them; hiking through slippery rocks and climbing up stone steps with heavy gear. But once there, all hardships fade and nothing’s left but the delight of the cold rushing waters of the destination.
