Landscapes are often better photographed on golden hours when the light is soft and the sky is glowing with yellows and golds. But what if you have no option for a grand sunrise or a fiery sunset? Would you just put down your camera and stay at your lodge?

Some photographers actually do that. But I feel it to be such a waste, you should still go out and shoot. Adjust your output and make do with what light is available.
