With all noteworthy photos from 2007 now posted, time to move to 2008.

The very first photograph of the year on the very first day of 2008, a portrait of my inaanak, Rachel. Portraiture is really something I’m no good at then, and well, up to now. I just don’t know how to properly direct and connect to my subject that I end up awkwardly fumbling my shots.

For this photo, I simply asked Rachel to face sideways and look far - and that’s already stretching my directing skills haha. But I think I got what I was aiming for; a sort of sad, longing look from a child, but then again, it just might be my imagination hehe.
