It was raining cats and dogs outside but I really didn’t want to miss mingling with the photographers from one of the country’s largest photography club. It was my second time to judge at Pinoy Photography Org’s monthly photo contest and as with such, there are always hits and misses. But the hits are really hits; really striking photographs that gets you in the gut.
A few things I learned about photo contests; an image has to have an impact at first glance, it should have a better impact upon closer inspection, it should contain drama and emotion, and most importantly it should adhere to the theme at hand. The most beautiful photograph among the bunch does not always win the competition.
Thank you Pipho for the second invite.
