It’s National Heroes day and I’m scouring my hard drive for something apt for today’s celebration. And here’s what I came up with from one of the plazas in Vigan City, a sculpture of our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.
I remember shooting this one specifically for a contest about Rizal statues around the country. I was looking for a unique angle and something with a bit of story and irony. Unfortunately I think the judges wanted the sculpture to be facing the camera, so all my irony and uniqueness went down the drain haha.
