Taken one windy afternoon at the shoreline of the Pantabangan Dam. I was looking for suitable foregrounds typical of shoreline landscape photographs but was hard-pressed to find one. I turned my sights to the horizon and found layers of mountains dissolving into soft pastels. I searched for my anchor and found a lush tree sitting tightly by the bank.

Landscape photographs are not limited to sweeping vistas usually covered by ultra wide angle lenses. A telephoto lens however, which is really not known for its landscape capabilities, can also provide unique landscape opportunities that its wider counterparts cannot.

  1. I love this photo Christian! As if I am gawking at a postcard tucked far away and revisiting it from history. :)

  2. Salamat Doc Wends! It would not have been possible if not for my Canon superzoom, the tree appears small from the naked eye :P

  3. I don't know about you but I find this photo really poetic. Wish I can shoot beautiful pictures like you do. :)
