Last 9th of July, at exactly 11:02 in the morning on a rice terraces viewpoint in Banaue, Ifugao, my Canon Powershot S3is took its last photograph and died.
My very first camera, I bought it one rainy September morning almost five years ago at Mang Ramon’s cramped camera store in Hidalgo. I was choosing between a smaller point and shoot camera which was cheaper than the S3is but a photographer buying at the store convinced me to get the much more expensive Canon instead.
I am not exaggerating when I say that my life has never been the same after the purchase of this camera.

ReplyDeleteThis is our first family point and shoot camera. Lot of memories. Stayed for us for 4years. Have asked Canon service shop to repair it pero too expensive. But we use the video, still maganda p rin ang kuha nya kahit wala n camera.
ReplyDeleteDuring that time, the S3is is one of the most powerful point and shoot camera. Lots of memories indeed, natanong ko rin sa Canon kung papagawa ko sya but sabi nila it will cost like a new camera na raw. I'm not sure if kung gumagana pa video, subukan ko nga mamaya. :)
ReplyDeletenice shot!
